Dave and I went on a 10 mile run through the trails to start off the morning. The run was fine, but the exposure time to the heat was getting to both Dave and I by the end. When we got back, I was super hungry and once I thought about it there was only one real option for food, and so we went to Chipotle. I got a burrito with half carnitas and half barbacoa. The makers gave very generous portions to both of us and it definitely hit the spot.
Eventually we made our way back from Chipotle and came home to Liam going crazy in the house, as there were no bries nor Deeg. Everyone wanted to play some basketball so I paper bagged 3 beers to go play sports. After basketball we played some wiff again. It was another scorcher and I definitely was very dehydrated when I was going out for my second run. Luckily, Dan wanted to do part of my run with me, while on our run I convinced Dan to keep going and finish off the ten miler.
I lounged around for a bit and then Dave and I decided to take advantage of the Dominoes' deal of 1 large pizza with 2 toppings for 6 bucks. We got a mushroom and chicken pizza which was delicious. After a while, the boys reconvened back at the Matoaka house and we started playing drinking games. We play a game called "Red, Black, Joker" that we made up. It is a pretty simple card game with only 1 joker in the deck. There is a dealer who deals out an individual card to a person and asks "Red or Black". The player then responds with red, black or joker. Based on the result of the card someone has to drink a specific amount. If you get the joker and you do not call the joker you have to drink a full beer that is placed in the middle of the table. I never call joker, however that plan backfired, as I got joker 4 times in a 30-35 minute period. This got me real tight, real fast. I ended up consuming 18 (3 evening, 15 night) beers by the end of the night. The highlight of the night for my friends was when Dave and I won beer pong and I lightly "punched" or fist-bumped the window and the next thing I knew my hand was threw the glass. Luckily, my roommates are nice and just thought it was funny.
I am going into my final day needing 9 miles and 11 drinks to finish the event in six days. Hopefully, my hometown friends, Ryan and Emily, will get down before I am done with everything.
Day Count: 20 miles, 18 beers.
Total Count: 91 miles, 89 beers.
